I'm working on adding support for chain restaurants. You'll be able to tell who has vegetarian fries and who has vegan burgers.

Locations have a different look. The address and phone number is now listed with the restaurants. The restaurant page now has a search box at the top.

Books have been added to the databse, so you can now add books if you like. Various other nips and tucks have been added as well.

We've opened the front door. Strangers can now waltz in without a key or even a password and view the homepage, the news page, restaurants and reviews, not to mention the book shop!
Work has begun on international listings. It isn't yet near complete so I don't want to point at anything, but I know you'll sleep better knowing work is being done in that area. :)

There have been a lot of new users signed up for beta access since I announced the site on the veg-in@waste.org mailing list. If you know anyone who would be interested then go here.
We've relocated to Davis, CA and you'll be noticing a lot more California listings. I've started a new job and as soon as things settle down there I'll be able to dedicate more time to the site and do a real live full launch. You can help by pointing out any bugs.

Browse Locations I've put a bit of work into the display by location pages. Currently here. The layout isn't done, but the idea is to have links and events included on each city and state page with local news and info.
Links You can now add links. I will add a way to categorize them soon, but if you would take a second to add some links I'll categorize them later.

Modified the session code and now authentication really exists. You can not edit other users or restaurants that you did not submit. Still will be adding a feature so that you can update a restaurant that someone else submitted but the change will be queued for approval.
Shopping: I've added shopping. Will be adding different categories of books soon. Please suggest books and categories.
Links: I've created a links table and will be adding a links section soon. Please send me links to include.

Logins! We have logins. Thanks to phplib we have logins and user levels now. When you view the list of restaurants you should only be able to edit the ones you submitted now.
Next I need to build a queue so that you can edit anything (besides other users) and your changes will go into a queue. From there an administrator will approve or reject the changes.

Added maps and changed the look of the restaurant page a little bit. not better, not worse. Modified user.php3 to print the profile and to use labels.

Did some firm-up on the DB code. Did some tweaking of the style sheet. Added a pencil icon in a couple places.

Image uploads work now by clicking "add image" when viewing a user or restaurant. It's pretty buggy at the moment.
Restaurants can now be ranked. Add a restaurant review and you can give the restaurant a rating from 1 to 5. These ratings will become very useful.

I added several images which are all over-sized. I'll be getting them down to a reasonable size soon hopefully.
I also added an image.php3 for editing and adding images. It doesn't yet allow for image uploads...

I've setup mailing lists tofu and tofu-announce, but I just installed mailman and I'm still tweaking it.
